Established in 1991, TAME customizes and delivers skills development seminars for all event staff and volunteers, supervisors, and front office personnel.

Chances are the public’s only personal contact within your facility is with hourly event staff who can make or break your facility’s image. Do your hourly event staff represent your facility the way you want them to? How will they learn?

Our Mission

We accomplish our mission to "put a smile in every seat" by training all event staff, supervisors, and front office personnel in the crowd management, guest relations and supervisory skills necessary to fulfill their facility's mission.

Seminars Overview

The following programs can be customized for your facility. All courses have comprehensive participant manuals. Additionally, we can create new programs to meet specific needs not covered in the programs below. Current course offerings include:

Superior Guest Service—the foundation for all programs: a half-day program employing humor, exercises, and role-plays to help all event staff develop skills they’ll use in working with guests and co-workers.

Event Supervisor Skills—a half- to two-day program providing new and experienced supervisors with information, strategies, and practice to develop the skills required to professionally supervise event staff and volunteers.

Motivating Event Staff—a half-day program in which supervisors will design a series of awards/rewards programs and develop tools and skills necessary to create and maintain a high morale event staff.

Train the Trainer—a one- to three-day program for experienced and novice in-house trainers that will provide a guide to classroom and one-on-one training.

Services Overview

TAME has also created Customized Operations Manuals, Job Descriptions, Performance Review Systems, and customized Event Staff Pocket Handbooks. We also conduct employee surveys, focus groups, management retreats and mystery shopper tours. 

Mystery Shopper Tours - Also known as secret shoppers, shoppers have long been used by the hospitality and retail industries to evaluate and improve their systems, procedures, products (food), merchandising, and people skills. After shopping your facility our detailed report will identify strengths and weaknesses of your front of house operations along with suggestions for improvement. This provides invaluable input for improving and justifying funds to improve many aspects of your physical facility and operations.

On-site Management Retreat - Tap the combined knowledge of your staff and use their inputs to develop solutions to problems and methods to improve your operations. The outcomes of this session will aid your strategic planning.
