This one- to three-day program for experienced and novice in-house trainers provides a guide to classroom and one-on-one training. The program can be conducted for an individual trainer or for a small group of in-house trainers. Supervisors who give presentations or on-the-job training (OJT) will benefit from this program also.

Topics can include:

Adult learning theory overview
Techniques of instructional design
Creating a training program
Five presentation methods other than lecture
Four exercise types including training games
Use of off-the-shelf videotapes in training
Creating videotapes
Conducting role-plays for maximum skills development
Role-plays with video-feedback viewing
Presentation aids and visuals
Eight group facilitation skills
Four personal presentation skills
Training supervisors to conduct on-the-job training
Planning a training program
Scheduling in-house training
Making orientation exciting

A one-day train-the-trainer is primarily a survey course covering your greatest training needs and concerns. A two or three-day program can cover all of the above topics and will include practice training demonstrations by your facilitators. Quite simply, the longer the program, the more topics we can cover, and your trainers will achieve a higher level of skills development.

For groups greater than 12, TAME will provide two facilitators and will utilize a break-out room so that each participant has opportunities for maximum practice and coaching feedback.
